The County of Brant is issuing this Request for Proposal to hire a Consultant to develop an improved stormwater management strategy for the South Paris stormwater pond, summarized within a Conceptual Design Memorandum, to mitigate high sodium and chloride concentrations being observed at the Bethel municipal wellfield.

The principal components of this assignment include the following: 

• Review all background information and existing conditions to the degree necessary to complete the scope of work. Available documents include historical water quality and flow data, historical stormwater flow and quality data, relevant studies and reports, as-built drawings of the existing stormwater pond, sewers and infiltration manifold, GIS mapping data, etc.; 
• Attend regular progress meetings with the project team at County of Brant offices or online (assume 6 meetings);
• Characterize the existing site conditions and summarize in site maps and a water balance;
• Prepare a preliminary design, and associated cost estimate, of the stormwater pond improvements and provide recommendations for improved SWMP operations, and include an updated water balance; and 
• Prepare a Conceptual Design Memorandum for the County for submission to the MECP and GRCA, summarizing the outcomes of the project and recommended design and operational improvements.
